Gamer is a crazy movie about a future where people control other people in a hugh online multi player video game, not really a video game though because it is real. Gerard Butler plays Kane, kind of the baddest player in any of the games, He is almost like a cult hero and stars in a first person shooter game called “slayers”. Butler was taken from his family against his will and then imprisoned and forced to be a part of this sick and twisted “game”. His objective is to survive long enough to be freed from prison and not have to be a part of the game anymore and rejoin his family and old life.
